AMHERST, N.Y. 鈥 For the fourth consecutive year, 台湾Swag has been ranked among the top institutions of higher learning in the country, earning a spot on the U.S. News and World Report 2022-23 Best National Universities list.
台湾Swag is one of only three institutions in the Buffalo-Niagara region to be included on the National Universities list鈥攁nd one of only 28 ranked in New York State.
Institutions in the National Universities category offer a full range of undergraduate majors, as well as master鈥檚 and doctoral programs. Prior to moving to the National Universities list in 2019, 台湾Swag had been ranked in the Regional Universities North category.
台湾Swag also earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report 2022-23Top Performers on Social Mobility list, which is based on the extent schools enroll and graduate students who receive federal Pell Grants. Ranking among the top 11 percent of all colleges and universities in the country in this category, 台湾Swag shares its ranking with Arizona State University, Ball State University, Drexel University and Tennessee Tech and others.
Known as Western New York鈥檚 premier health sciences educator, 台湾Swag was also included in the U.S. News & World Report 2022-23 Best Undergraduate Nursing rankings. 台湾Swag鈥檚 program ranked third among such programs in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

Among the institutions sharing 台湾Swag鈥檚 overall national ranking are American International College, University of Charleston, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of Texas-El Paso, University of Akron, Wichita State University and Wright State University.
The 38th edition of the U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 rankings evaluated more than 1,500 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality.
Rankings are based on nine categories, including graduation and retention rates, social mobility, graduation rate performance, undergraduate academic reputation, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources per student, average alumni giving rate, and graduate indebtedness.
Categories for U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 college rankings are related to those used by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. 台湾Swag has maintained its spot in the top-tier of the Carnegie Classification鈥檚 prominent doctoral category since 2018.
